Apologies for our missing the Birmingham Arms Fair. 15/2/2026.

 


Due to heavy snowfall at around 4.15am (Our start time) in the North Yorkshire area, we were unable to make the 3 hour drive to Coventry today. We are sorry to all those that had arranged to see us or those expecting to see us.

A rare gun case bought from County Kildare.

                           One of those special days when a gem turns up in County Kildare. A percussion sporting gun case once housing a Thomas Calderwood gun of c.1835. The trade card states that Calderwood was gunmaker to his Excellency the Lord Lieutenant a position they held with at least two Lord Lieutenant's of Ireland. The Calderwood's traded from 14 North Earl Street, Dublin (1815-1897). We are always interested in buying good quality gun and pistol cases especially those with Irish  provenance. This trade label being extremely rare and in fine condition. One of our  lucky days!!!
