(British Newspaper Archive) These two articles detailing the lawlessness that prevailed at this time and moreover, highlighting the fact that the Irish/Dublin gunmakers were supplying very accurate duelling pistols!!  "pistol-makers has put an end of mock fights- for they direct every ""bullet to a billet"".  We are always interested in articles such as the above relating to social history within Ireland.   Andrew Willson (sic) (Wilson) Gunmaker 12 Rosemary Lane Belfast. Belfast Newsletter 8th April 1803 (British Newspaper Archive) The "first Gun Maker in Dublin" would imply that Wilson served some time with either John Rigby or the Truelock/Trulock houses, among others but frustrating that he hasn't confirmed his masters.
