An original lithograph printed by Smith and McDougal, New York City in 1865.
The printers name is not visible due to the print having been framed and possibly folded at the base or cut?
Also Haasis and Lubrecht not visible.
Held in contemporary wooden frame with limited pieces missing. (restorable)
Those noted and depicted include;








Daniel O'Connell, John Philpot Curran, Father Theobald Matthew, Robert Emmet, Henry Grattan and Thomas F. Burke.
A fabulous piece of Irish history.
This lithograph was coated with a protective gloss finish (showing signs of ageing & cracking)

A rare gun case bought from County Kildare.

                           One of those special days when a gem turns up in County Kildare. A percussion sporting gun case once housing a Thomas Calderwood gun of c.1835. The trade card states that Calderwood was gunmaker to his Excellency the Lord Lieutenant a position they held with at least two Lord Lieutenant's of Ireland. The Calderwood's traded from 14 North Earl Street, Dublin (1815-1897). We are always interested in buying good quality gun and pistol cases especially those with Irish  provenance. This trade label being extremely rare and in fine condition. One of our  lucky days!!!
