Why are there three Irish bars in Cannes?.......To be sure.. To be sure.. To be sure!


    The Quays.. a very welcoming bar with Sky TV, Irish staff and plenty of Irish customers.

And they say Guinness doesn't travel.

Just back from my jollies in the South of France. Very relaxing and now back to work!

A rare gun case bought from County Kildare.

                           One of those special days when a gem turns up in County Kildare. A percussion sporting gun case once housing a Thomas Calderwood gun of c.1835. The trade card states that Calderwood was gunmaker to his Excellency the Lord Lieutenant a position they held with at least two Lord Lieutenant's of Ireland. The Calderwood's traded from 14 North Earl Street, Dublin (1815-1897). We are always interested in buying good quality gun and pistol cases especially those with Irish  provenance. This trade label being extremely rare and in fine condition. One of our  lucky days!!!
